Seminar Bahaya Gadget dan Artificial Intelligence pada Era Digital Bagi Siswa-Siswi SMK Pawiyatan Surabaya

Abstract

Many students are less able to utilize technology including gadgets and artificial intelligence (AI) in the digital era, so they fall into negative impacts but have not been able to utilize the positive impacts of their use, that it is necessary to provide knowledge about the positive and negative impacts of the use of gadgets and AI to students, especially students of SMK Pawiyatan Surabaya. As an effort, a seminar was held entitled The Dangers of Gadgets and AI in the Digital Era: Being Wasted or Being Able to Take Opportunities. The seminar was presented on November 7, 2024, attended by 50 students of XII degree from the Visual Communication Design (DKV) department, and the Accounting and Institutional Finance (AKL) department at AK 2 Classromm in the 2nd floor classroom of SMK Pawiyatan Surabaya Jl. Tangkis Turi No.4-6, Simomulyo, Kecamatan Sukomanunggal, Surabaya, East Java. Seminar participants were representatives of all students at SMK Pawiyatan Surabaya. The method used in the seminar was the lecture method, which contained case study material inserted in the form of video screenings, then time was given for a question and answer session. There are questions from students asking about the causes of the case study, as well as the phenomenon of gadget and AI use from seminar participants. Evaluation of the effectiveness of the seminar results is using a questionnaire with a linkert scale of 1-4, which compares the pre-test and post-test, with the results of the seminar, namely that there has been an increase in ability with a score of 3.508571429, meaning that there is a significant increase in knowledge by seminar participants.
