MOVEMENT AND SONG AS AN EFFORT TO INCREASE THE MOVEMENT CREATIVITY OF EARLY CHILDREN

Early childhood movement creativity is a child's ability to create movement. Movement creativity is a form of responsive creative movement carried out spontaneously when children gets stimulation to express themselves through movement. Efforts to develop movement creativity in early childhood can be done with interesting and fun activities, namely through movement and songs. Movement and song are the activities of listening to and enjoying songs while moving body parts as a form of self-expression, resulting in various forms of creative movement. This study aims to determine the increase in movement creativity of early childhood through movement and songs. This type of research is Classroom Action Research which is carried out in two cycles with a four-stage procedure, namely: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The data collection method used is through observation guided by an assessment rubric to record data which is then analyzed descriptively. In observations, the initial completeness of movement creativity in children was 22.22%. In Cycle I, after introducing movements and songs in learning, there was an increase in children's movement creativity to 44.44% and at the end of Cycle II it became 88.89%. So it is concluded that movement and songs can increase the movement creativity of early childhood.
