ARCHIVE POLICY
WAKTU acknowledges the importance of long-term preservation and archiving of its content. To ensure the preservation and restoration of the journal, WAKTU utilizes the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS) system.
The LOCKSS system creates a distributed archiving network among participating libraries. This system allows libraries to create permanent archives of the journal, ensuring the availability of content for future access and research purposes. The CLOCKSS Archive and the Global LOCKSS Network are used for this purpose.
The archiving process is conducted with explicit permission from the publisher, which is obtained through written contracts or online permission statements. WAKTU collaborates closely with the implementers of the LOCKSS network to establish appropriate governance and legal terms that align with the content, jurisdictions, rights, and access requirements.
By implementing the LOCKSS and CLOCKSS system, WAKTU aims to safeguard the journal's content and contribute to the long-term preservation of scholarly research.
