Pengaruh Sports Massage terhadap Saturasi Oksigen Perifer (SpO₂) pada Atlet Bola Voli: Studi Eksperimental Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design

Abstract

Latihan intensif pada atlet bola voli dapat meningkatkan kebutuhan oksigen jaringan akibat aktivitas eksplosif berulang, seperti melompat, mendarat, bergerak cepat, dan melakukan perubahan arah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh sports massage terhadap saturasi oksigen perifer (SpO₂) pada atlet bola voli setelah latihan intensif. Penelitian menggunakan desain eksperimental pre-post dengan kelompok perlakuan dan kelompok kontrol. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 30 atlet bola voli. Pengukuran SpO₂ dilakukan sebelum dan sesudah intervensi menggunakan pulse oximeter. Kelompok perlakuan diberikan sports massage setelah latihan intensif, sedangkan kelompok kontrol tidak menerima intervensi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui uji homogenitas dan ANOVA. Hasil uji homogenitas menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,242, sehingga data memiliki varians homogen. Secara deskriptif, kelompok sports massage mengalami peningkatan rata-rata SpO₂ dari 92,9 menjadi 96,9, sedangkan kelompok kontrol relatif tetap sekitar 94,4. Namun, hasil ANOVA menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,697, lebih besar dari 0,05, sehingga tidak terdapat perbedaan rata-rata SpO₂ yang signifikan antar kelompok. Temuan ini mengindikasikan adanya respons pemulihan fisiologis pada kelompok perlakuan, tetapi perubahan tersebut masih dapat dipengaruhi oleh pemulihan alami tubuh dan variasi kondisi individu. Dengan demikian, sports massage menunjukkan kecenderungan peningkatan SpO₂ secara deskriptif, tetapi belum terbukti signifikan secara statistik sebagai strategi pemulihan atlet bola voli setelah latihan intensif dalam konteks penelitian ini.
