USE OF LOOSE PART MEDIA TO IMPROVE THE FINE MOTORIC OF CHILDREN AGED 5-6 YEARS IN GROUP B-1 AT AISYIYAH BUSTANUL ATHFAL (ABA) IV KINDERGARTEN, JAMBI CITY

Abstract

In group B1 at Kindergarten ABA IV Jambi City, the researchers saw that the fine motor development of children who were still underdeveloped could be seen in several activities such as some children who could not use scissors properly, there were children who only stuck at random, not according to the example by the teacher, using very thick glue, and many children are still not adept at using their fingers in completing their activities so they tend to ask the teacher for help. The type of research used in this research is using classroom action research (CAR) with qualitative and quantitative data sources. Based on the results of research conducted by researchers using cycle I and cycle II, it can be concluded that the use of loose part media to improve children's fine motor skills can increase with a very good improvement exceeding the 80% completeness limit, namely 89.26%. Before the action, the child's fine motor skills had begun to develop but in cycle I it had begun to develop. The increase from the first cycle to the 1st meeting was 42.77%, the first cycle to the 2nd meeting the children began to be enthusiastic about making airplanes from cardboard 44.34%, the first cycle to the 3rd meeting 46.48% the children began to be able to imitate the activities exemplified by the teacher, the second cycle the 3rd meeting 1 child was able to make hand movements when decorating their activities 58.98%, cycle II of the 2nd meeting the children were able to complete their activities creatively 78.32%, cycle II of the 3rd meeting the children were able to explore with various loose part media that had been provided 89.26% .
