Abstract

Industrial competition in the free area as it is today makes companies competing for competent Human Resources. In this case, a person is considered competent if he is able to be distinguished from the others. Competent value in a person is usually judged by the achievement of the individual. To improve achievement, it takes encouragement or in this study mentioned motivation. In addition to motivation, self-efficacy is also needed to achieve the level of achievement to be aachieved. This study aims to determine the effect of self-efficacy on academic achievement through the motivation of UNIPA Surababaya students. Respondents in this study were 99 UNIPA Surabaya students. The sampling techniques uses the Proportional Random Sampling method. Data analysis in this study uses Path Analysis. The results of this study indicate that self-efficacy has a positive effect on motivation and academic achievement of University PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya students.
