Abstract

Self-confidence is the basic capital for children to develop their abilities. With positive self-confidence, the potential within you can be explored well. The method used is the role playing method. The aim of this research is to find out whether there is a significant influence of the role playing method on children's self-confidence. This research uses quantitative research with a Quasi Experimental Design in the form of a Nonequivalent control group design. The research population was group A of Kindergarten Prasetyo Budi. The sample taken from group A consisted of 30 children. The research results based on the data obtained showed an average increase in the experimental class of 12.8% and for the control class there was an average increase of 7.07%. And the results of the hypothesis test show that the significant value (sig2-tailed) of 0.000 is smaller than α = 0.05. So it can be concluded that the significance value (2-tailed sig) is 0.000 < 0.05, so Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So it can be said that there is a significant influence of the use of role-playing methods on the self-confidence of children aged in group A at Prasetyo Budi Kindergarten.
