Abstract

AI-assisted learning offers more significant capabilities to improve the quality of teaching and education. AI is one alternative that plays a significant role in overcoming several learning challenges, especially regarding conventional teaching procedures, the lack of human resources who understand AI, inconsistent curriculum, and obstacles in differentiating student learning. The use of innovation in the learning process is essential to accommodate the diverse needs of students. The differentiated learning approach allows teachers to accommodate the diverse needs of students. However, there are still many teachers at SMKN 10 Malang who do not understand the practice of differentiated learning by utilizing AI applications. Therefore, the team of lecturers from Universitas PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya and Universitas PGRI Kanjuruhan Malang took the initiative to hold training on the use of AI for the development of differentiated learning. A total of 45 teachers at SMKN 10 Malang were involved in this study. This research is a mixed-methods research. The data analysis used is qualitative descriptive analysis. Teachers at SMKN 10 Malang were very enthusiastic about participating in this training because many of them still have difficulty in practicing differentiated learning by utilizing AI applications, especially Computer Vision and Mentimeter. According to them, this training is very useful and easy to apply. It is hoped that stakeholders in schools will increase training activities on the use of AI to facilitate differentiated learning, because this learning is very up-to-date in this era and can accommodate the various needs of diverse students.
