Withdrawal of Manuscript
Authors are strongly discouraged from withdrawing manuscripts that have been submitted to INVENTA: Jurnal Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar, particularly when the manuscripts have entered the editorial evaluation, peer review, revision, or production stages. Manuscript withdrawal without compelling reasons is considered an inappropriate publication practice, as the editorial and peer review processes involve considerable time, effort, and resources contributed by editors, reviewers, and the journal's editorial team.
However, INVENTA recognizes that manuscript withdrawal may be necessary under exceptional circumstances, including significant errors in research data, serious ethical concerns, authorship disputes, or other justifiable reasons that may affect the integrity or publication of the manuscript.
Authors who wish to withdraw their manuscripts must submit a formal written withdrawal request to the editorial office of INVENTA through the journal's submission system or official editorial communication channel. The request must include the manuscript title, submission identification number, corresponding author's details, and a clear explanation of the reasons for withdrawal.
Authors may be required to submit an Article Withdrawal Form or a signed withdrawal statement confirming that all co-authors have been informed of and agree to the withdrawal request. The statement must be signed by all authors or by the corresponding author acting with the consent of all co-authors.
The editorial board will review the withdrawal request and determine the appropriate action based on the reasons provided, the manuscript's editorial status, and the journal's publication ethics policies. Authors must not assume that their manuscript has been officially withdrawn until they receive written confirmation from the editorial office.
Authors are strictly prohibited from submitting the same manuscript to another journal while it is still under consideration by INVENTA. Withdrawing a manuscript solely because it has been accepted by another journal following simultaneous submission constitutes unethical publication behavior and violates the principles of academic integrity and responsible scholarly publishing.
For articles that have already been published, withdrawal requests will be handled through the journal's correction or retraction procedures rather than the ordinary manuscript withdrawal process. Such cases will be evaluated in accordance with established publication ethics principles, including the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
