Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the extent to which the implementation of batik cultural arts education contributes to students' personality development from the perspective of elementary school teachers. Using a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, data were collected through source triangulation techniques and analyzed through data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. Based on the research findings, batik art plays an important role in shaping students' personalities, including perseverance, creativity, responsibility, and love for local culture. The batik-making process requires the cultivation of technical skills and moral values such as attention to detail, perseverance, communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in groups. Batik cultural arts education also strengthens students' admiration and sense of responsibility for preserving the rich cultural heritage of Indonesia, particularly batik. The conclusion of this study highlights that batik art serves as an effective medium for character education, supporting students' emotional, social, and moral development while reinforcing the nation's cultural identity. By integrating Pancasila values into arts education, it is hoped that future generations will contribute to cultural preservation and national development.
