The School Literacy Movement can be used to grow students reading interest. The problems that occur are that the reading interest of second-grade students seems lacking because playing activities dominate, there is no feedback from students when responding to reading, students rarely visit the library, rarely find students reading books on the sidelines of changing school hours and even reading. textbooks are only done if directed by the teacher. This study aims to describe the implementation of the GLS program to foster reading interest in second grade students at SDN 1 Wonorejo, Sumbergempol, Tulungagung for the 2021/2022 academic year. This research uses qualitative research with a case study approach. The research subjects were 29 students of class II consisting of 14 male students and 15 female students. Data collection techniques were through observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that literacy activities were carried out every day. Facilities and infrastructure to support literacy activities are also adequate, such as an attractive classroom reading corner. The enthusiasm of students with the class reading corner also looks very high. This is shown from the reading interest questionnaire given by the researcher, namely the average is in the high category with details of 13 students in the very high category and 16 students in the high category.
