Abstract

ABSTRACT

In the era of society 5.0 as it is today, technology is increasingly sophisticated, everything we want can be obtained instantly even for negative influences from outside very quickly can enter only with social media intermediaries. The problem that commonly occurs today is the waning understanding of the importance of Pancasila values among the younger generation which has the potential for the entry of ideas such as radicalism which is very contrary to the nation's ideology. There have been many examples such as the emergence of many crimes, collusion and nepotism, corruption, sexual crimes, consumptive life, unproductive political life, and so on. All that is mentioned is certainly a big threat to the young generation of the Indonesian nation. It's certain that today's young generation must only memorize Pancasila but not the values contained in it, this indeed sounds very concerning. Even today, the values of Pancasila are slowly disappearing because there are fewer and fewer people who practice them in their daily lives. Therefore, by strengthening the values of Pancasila from an early age, it is hoped that the younger generation will grow up equipped with a solid foundation on the importance of Pancasila for Indonesia. The purpose of this article is to find out how far and how the young generation today is in practicing the values of Pancasila. The method of analysis uses a descriptive approach, with data collection techniques from books and journals. The results of the analysis show that in the last two years, especially in the millennial generation, there has been a lack of application of Pancasila values as the nation's character.
