PREFERENSI SISWA KELAS IV SDN PEJAGAN 1 BANGKALAN PADA BUKU BACAAN DIGITAL DAN BUKU CETAK

This research utilized a descriptive qualitative approach to evaluate literacy implementation at SDN Pejagan 1 Bangkalan involving 23 fourth-grade students (IV-D). Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation, all of which gathered qualitative data. Descriptive analysis was employed to illustrate the research findings. The results were analyzed to determine students' tendencies towards digital or print book reading interests. Interviews with teachers revealed that the school mandates 10-15 minutes of reading before classes commence, despite challenges such as variations in teacher motivation, student character, and inadequate library facilities. Observations indicated the program's effectiveness in addressing students' reading difficulties. Survey results showed that 86% of students agreed that literacy enhances their intelligence, and 70% prefer digital book reading. This study underscores the importance of reinforcing literacy through both digital and print media to enhance educational quality and students' reading interests.
